Impossibilities In Salvation

There are a multitude of things in salvation that are impossible for men and possible only with God. Recognizing just a few of them should frighten us into surrendering our hearts and lives to Him.

Matthew 19:24-26: And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Can a camel go through the eye of a needle?

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Can you raise yourself from the dead? Can you rise into the clouds?

Jeremiah 13:23: Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Can an Ethiopian change his skin? Can a leopard change his spots?

1 Corinthians 15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Can you change yourself into a creature who could survive where there is no oxygen? Or take enough oxygen with you to survive forever? Could you do it in the twinkling of an eye?

Psalms 103:12: As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Can you do that? The forgiveness of our sins is miraculous.

Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Millions believe they can please God who have no faith in Him.

Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Psalms 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Do you know how helpless you are to even take one right step without the Lord?

John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Matthew 28:18: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

2 Corinthians 12:9 : And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
